What is Boot

Camp Challenge?

Boot Camp Challenge is a world-renowned group training program  created to change your LIFE, your BODY, and your MIND!  Using team building techniques from the US Army and the sciences behind movement, Boot Camp Challenge® (BCC) transforms blah workout sessions into a group motivating, team building, results driven program.

What makes BCC so successful?

THE PROGRAM.

Instead of training alone, you become part of a group in our heart pumping, total body workouts. Our training combines cardiovascular, muscular endurance and flexibility training, every time, every class. And, Boot Camp Challenge® is created for EVERY level of fitness. If you are a first time exerciser or an athlete, we have options for you. You see, it is our philosophy to meet you right where you are and take you where you want to go. Each workout is different so you'll never get bored! And, one more thing. We have included the top three secrets to guarantee you success: assessments to measure your results, nutrition, and accountability- you will NEVER be alone.

THE  NUTRITION

You can't out-exercise a bad diet. Proper nutrition to fuel your body and brain is essential to overall health and wellness -but how do you know who to trust when there's so much conflicting information out there? At Boot Camp Challenge® we are not selling you a particular diet and don't ask you to take a bunch of pills and supplements. We focus on the foundations of good nutrition: protein, healthy carbs and fat, vegetables and fruit, water and whole foods. And we don't ask you to give up your favorite foods! Every Boot Camp Challenge® session includes a meal prep workshop: a 60-minute hands-on, follow-along workshop that will teach you the secrets of successful meal prep in an hour or less and ends with 8-12 healthy meals ready to go in your fridge! Boot Camp Challenge® also partners with CHARGE Nutrition to provide every camper with a FREE 1-on-1 session with a Registered Dietician. And finally, we help you develop a healthy relationship with food and break free from the restrict/binge cycle!

  • What kind of workouts do you do?
    A little of everything — but never boring.You’ll do circuits, strength training, cardio bursts, core, games, and creative challenges that work your whole body and keep things interesting. We laugh a lot, too! ⬇️ One thing you’ll never hear? “Just 50 more burpees!” We don’t do misery.
  • How long is each session?
    Each class is one hour. We warm up, work out, cool down, and get you on with your day. Expect to sweat, feel strong, and leave a little prouder of yourself every time. 😎
  • When does the next camp start?
    Camps are held in 4-week blocks throught the year! There is generally a 1-week break between camps. Here is our 2025 camp schedule;
  • When and where are the classes held?
    Here’s the current schedule: Morning Camp Days: MWF Time: 5:00 am–6:00 am Location: Athletes Plus, 1940 Golden Eagle Ct, Cape Girardeau Mid-Day Camp Days: MWF Time: 9:00 am -10:00 am (June, July and August only) Location: Evangelical Church of Christ Gymnasium, 33 S. Ellis, Cape Girardeau Evening Camp Days: MWTh Time: 5:30 pm–6:30 pm Location: Evangelical Church of Christ Gymnasium, 33 S. Ellis, Cape Girardeau
  • What if I’m already pretty fit? Will this challenge me?
    Absolutely! Boot Camp Challenge® is called “group personal training” for a reason. We’ll push you as hard as you want to go. Whether you’re looking for a challenge or need a little extra fire, we’ve got you covered.
  • Are there showers available?
    There are changing facilities, but no showers.
  • What if my schedule is crazy? Can I mix and match class times?
    Yes! Just sign up for the time slot you’re most likely to attend. Once camp starts, you’re free to move between time slots as needed. We get it—life happens!
  • What is your refund/cancellation policy?
    4-week camp: Refunds are given if notification of cancellation is received one week prior to start date, minus a $20.00 handling fee. In the event of injury your registration will be rolled over into a future camp. 12-Month Membership: You may cancel at any time (a $95 early terminatinon fee is required). You may transfer your membership to someone else for a $25 fee. In the event you become permanently disabled and have a letter from your physician, you may cancel with no penalty. No refunds will be given for failure to attend.
  • Tell me about the nutrition component. What makes it different?
    It’s real-world nutrition — not shakes or starvation.You’ll learn how to fuel your body in a way that’s simple, satisfying, and sustainable. I give you the tools, support, and mindset coaching to help you eat better without obsession or restriction. You will also receive: A Custom Macro Plan tailored to your body, goals, and lifestyle. A 60-minute, hands-on meal prep workshop to prep 8–12 healthy meals in an hour or less! Tools to build a healthier, more balanced relationship with food. A 4-week, in-depth nutrition education course. No more confusion. No more restrict/binge cycles. Just simple, practical nutrition strategies that work.
  • What’s included in the Boot Camp Challenge® program?
    You’re not just getting workouts — you’re getting a lifestyle shift. 3–5 energizing fitness classes/week Real-world nutrition coaching and education Accountability & mindset support A community of like-minded women Fun surprises, challenges, and connection Coaching that meets you where you are and pushes you where you want to go
  • Do you do anything fun outside of workouts?
    YES — we’re more than a workout group, we’re a tribe. We plan optional social events like dinners, holiday parties, river days, and more! You can do as much or as little as you like — but don’t be surprised if you make a few new lifelong friends.
  • What’s the cost?
    We keep it simple with two clear options. You can join for one 4-week camp at a flat rate, or become a monthly member for consistent support and unlimited classes all year long. (P.S. if you're eating out just one time a week, you're already spending more than either option costs!) Meet Your Trainer

Hi! I'm Tamatha! In 2016 I launched the first session of Cape Boot Camp challenge with 6 people enrolled.  I had no idea what to expect - but nine years and hundreds of campers later, we are still gong strong!  A little about me...  I graduated from Mississippi State University with a degree in Fitness Management in 1993.  For the next 20 or so years I worked in the fitness industry in various capacities:  Health Promotions Coordinator; Dance Fitness Instructor, Personal Trainer, Nutrition Coach, Gym Manager, and Virtual Coach are among the hats I have worn.   Over the years I began to realize that getting fit wasn't just about working out and eating healthy, it was also about mindset, boundaries, self-love, confidence, time management, past experiences, fears, and so much more.   In Cape Boot Camp Challenge,  I take these concepts along with nutriton and fitness and do my best to deliver an experience that trains the whole person - physical and mental.  I see each camper as a unique individual - important to the group as a whole!  My philosophy is that fitness training and coaching is a relationship, and I'm dedicated to uncovering and nurturing your strengths, while working with you to overcome any weaknesses.  ​My Personal Mission Statement: II consider it my life's mission  to awaken the brave and courageous parts of people and encourage them to do the scary thing; reminding them throughout that they are capable of more than they ever imagined....and I do it all from the platform of fitness.
